Factory QC & Technical Assistant - (Late Shift)

Main Purpose of the role:

A Factory based role, key tasks are to ensure Product compliance to specification through regular product testing and monitoring of factory GMP and hygiene standards


  • Inspection and recording results for existing and new products to ensure conformity to specification.
  • Inspection of all products currently on Positive Release, recording all results and advising Team of any issues. Responsibility for accepting/rejecting products or stopping production
  • Reporting any issues to Technical Line Manager and updating other key members of staff.
  • Daily monitoring of Good Manufacturing Practices and reporting of any non-conformances to relevant personnel
  • Coordination of complaints management, investigating, reporting and feedback to customers. Carry out investigations (e. g paperwork, samples and some product testing) of customer complaints, reporting findings to Technical Team.
  • Carry out Good Manufacturing Practice Audits, complete and issue audit report to relevant personnel.
  • Carry out calibrations to existing schedule (scales, 02 meters).
  • Carry out specific factory audits by schedule (refrigerators, tool boxes, hammers and knife audits)
  • Assist the Department in the collation of product samples for external microbiological & chemical testing.
  • Daily collation, review and storage of Factory Process Documentation as required. Archiving records to ensure easy access.
  •  Assist in traceability exercises, collating product traceability documentation before or during site audits
  •  Assist in any 3rd Party Accreditation Audits (e.g. BRC, RFA Organic, Fairtrade Foundation) as required.
  •  Any other related duties as requested by a Manager
