In June this year, it was announced that Lincoln & York had topped the Sunday Times International Track 200 awards, having achieved a staggering 265% increase in sales.

On the 11th September, it was the pleasure and duty of our co-founder, James Sweeting, alongside head of Finance, Nigel Bean, to collect the award which recognises Britain’s private companies with the fastest-growing international sales.

The award was presented by Amanda Murphy of HSBC UK Business, after inspirational guest speakers Carol Kane from Boohoo.com and Steve Hewitt, CEO of Gymshark, had said a few words. You can watch the highlights in the video below.

Lincoln & York place No.1 at The Sunday Times International Track 200

The Sunday Times International Track 200 awards, now in its ninth year, ranks Britain’s mid-market private companies with the fastest growing exports. In 2018, the average annual growth of the 200 listed companies was 62%. Fortunately, for us, we quadrupled this amount to achieve a phenomenal 265% increase in sales, landing us first prize.

In the acceptance speech, James was happy to give away his secret to success: “identify the winners in the market and laser in on them”. Not a bad tactic considering the company Lincoln & York found themselves in with global names such as Aston Martin and Rapha also accepting awards on the day.

The 9th annual awards ceremony took place at the glamorous London Hilton on Park Lane and set a precedent for years to come.

We’d like to take this opportunity to, once again, thank everybody involved with Lincoln & York for helping us gain such recognition.
