Our contingency operation

Blenheim North houses our contingency facility and separate roasting site, home to the youngest members of the Lincoln & York roasting family and 30kg microroaster. Opened in 2014, the site contains all the features of our main roastery at Kahawa House including: green bean area, development and cupping room, three roasters and five packing lines.

Running on a completely separate power supply ensures that should any problems arise in the main roastery, most orders can be fulfilled without disruption. This isn’t limited to just customers, as we can also provide a contingency service for other coffee businesses to fulfil overflow orders.

Our roasters don’t run by themselves

Roasting team

Our team of operators monitor all roasts in person, not only checking the progress via the computer system but by sight & smell

Innovative systems

The installation of up-to-date roasting software enables us to control the roast profiles of each order to an even higher standard

City & Guilds Accredited Centre

Not only is Blenheim our contingency site, but it is also our City & Guilds approved centre where we host monthly Barista Training courses.

To find out more about the training we can provide, please visit our training, course & support page or get in touch by emailing training@lincolnandyork.com.
